Future Bets On Money Making V.1.0
So in these future bets of money-making type posts, I will be writing down my thoughts on how things might change, in terms of money making.
It will mostly be my own ideas that are collected from various resources out there.
The reason I put a version on it is because I think this writing will keep on getting updated the more I read on it, because we are in a new era, and the more we dive into the uncharted waters, the more light we get on the map.
Creative instead of service
So in my own opinion, we are moving from a service economy to a creator economy.
Where people who create things will be rewarded the most.
So that is why I am trying to align myself with this new concept, because for so long I just had my mind fixated on creating a company to deliver value to people to get value back in the form of money, power, status.
I feel like it was wrong rhetoric in my mind.
That idea does not serve me anymore. I feel like I don’t need a big organization of people to deliver value on a mass scale.
We have the internet, social media, and AI to reduce nearly every workload except for physical.
Every luxury item is so cheap right now because of massive amounts of supply to the market.
I hope it is going to be the same with housing as well, with the tiny homes and prefab housing, I feel like more and more of the basic needs of humans will be met through technology and innovation.
So serving other companies with your service company does not make sense.
Even if you make money now, it is an ending race where the creator race is only just beginning.
Creator is not Influencer
So here is the thing, being a creator does not mean you are going to be a TikTok star/influencer.
It is shallow and vain to go in the influencer direction.
They don’t have any substance in their creation other than showcasing themselves.
But if we are not going to shake our butt on social media, what is creativity?
How do I become a creator?
When you were dressing up, if you think those two colors would make a good match and give people something nice to look at on your body? Congrats, you have created.
Creation comes in various formats. It can be putting on clothes it can be mixing two food groups because you thought it would taste nice.
If you can generate an idea, solution by combining other ideas in your mind, congrats again, you just created!
So every single one of us has creativity in them.
Of course, the levels of creativity might vary from person to person.
Just like some people are more beautiful, strong, and social.
However, we all have creativity in us, and in this age, that is how we will reach the resources.
Instead of just serving some other company or an industry.
How to be creative
In my own opinion you can start small with social media. Social media is a great tool because it is a marketplace for your creativity.
Just like how Wall Street became a marketplace for companies and organisations social media is a marketplace for the creator.
You can start out by writing, painting, or taking a photo of something you like.
Just fill the 10 empty post slots of your account. It doesn’t have to be your main account ,just start out.
So what are the steps I am implementing into my own life:
-
So the first thing I want to do is drop the idea I have in my mind that influencer=creator.
No, I still get it sometimes, I have gained 4k views on TikTok this last two weeks, and I feel like a TikTokker but still it is a creation.
I will remind myself of this so that it sticks.
And so that I don’t quit and give value back to people.
-
I will try to stay private on social media.
I don’t mind showing the human side once in a while so that people can see where the ideas are coming from and it is not generated by some other person.
However, I will try to minimize it as much as possible, because first I am not an influencer trying to sell some lifestyle. And I don’t want my personal life on public display.
I think I am not alone when I say this is one of the biggest reasons I avoided social media because I don’t want to be known or famous.
Well, you can actually be that way if you structure the format of your creations with privacy in mind.
-
Well, I will leverage social media greatly, not just a single tool like TikTok.
Right now, I am publishing my creations to TikTok, instagram, Twitter, and my own website and newsletter.
However, this is just the start of the future, I wanna create wherever I think it will have value.
Social media sites come and go but social media itself is not going anywhere anytime soon.
-
I have created a portfolio website where I will be showcasing all of my creations in an indexed way.
So that people can look through them with ease. It is important to have your own site and newsletter and not just rely on one single social media platform.
I will write about it in another post.
-
I am going to use my coding skills and craft to create bigger and more useful creations, other than just a social media post.
Both are important don’t get me wrong.
They serve different ends, and with coding, I hope to create cheap but very effective solutions so that it will help alleviate some pains of people in the world.
-
I will be dedicating 90 minutes every day to learning my craft and exploring what kind of avenues I can take to improve my creativity.
You cannot just build. You also need to learn.
It is the fuel that powers creativity.
You need to maintain, but also explore what kind of different techniques you can use in your work so that your creativity is getting better every day with consistent effort.
So this is it for today's writing, I hope my ideas on how the creator economy might be the future and the service economy is becoming less and less important by the day.
I hope I made sense with how creativity and creator economy is not being a social media influencer shaking your butt on a camera.
We can be greater than that.
Thank you for reading. Have a nice day.
Demir.
